To wrap up Women in Construction Week and celebrate International Women’s Day, today we’re highlighting one of our newest team members, Alicia Liebel-Berg!

Alicia is our selections coordinator and joined our team in December. Prior to working at Frana, she worked in the architecture field on multi-family developments and in development as an owner’s rep. In total, she has worked in the positions of owner, architect, and contractor for 12 years.

“My advice is to enter that door if it is opened to you. Do not be afraid of being the only one or the first. Get to know the industry and those within it.”

Alicia says she enjoys “helping clients see the goal and end product through all of the trees.” She guides them through many choices and decisions that need to be made while building, all while doing her best to prevent overwhelm and keep everyone organized.

When asked for advice for women looking to enter the construction field, Alicia says, “My advice is to enter that door if it is opened to you. Do not be afraid of being the only one or the first. Get to know the industry and those within it. I was fortunate to know a handful of Frana project managers and it helped me to have a preview to their culture. In my time in architecture and development, there were always sentiments of who the good ones were to work with. Keep a pulse on the industry and the players. I have always loved the construction administration process in architecture and the entitlements and financing side of ownership with development. In hindsight this was all fortuitous training to transition into this role. You never know where your career may lead you so always be open to possibilities.”
