VICE PRESIDENT

RYAN MEISSNER

MEET OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

HEADQUARTERS

Ryan has been with Frana Companies since 1999. He was heavily involved in the onset of the billing and operation’s systems of Frana’s Wall Plant. Through Ryan’s tenure, he has developed strong relationships with owners and developers and continues to seek opportunities to exercise sustainability practices through Green initiatives. He has overseen $519,000,000 of contracted construction work, representing 34 projects, and 3,200 housing units. Ryan graduated from the University of Jamestown with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Business Administration. He later received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota. 

VICE PRESIDENT

TRAVIS UNSER

Travis joined Frana Companies in 2006 and is currently involved with every phase of a project, from preconstruction through completion and turnover. He works diligently with owners, developers and architects on cost estimating, budget preparation, design development, preconstruction as well as subcontractor negotiations. Travis oversees project managers to ensure all construction activities are achieved for our clients. Outside of the office, Travis is active in coaching youth athletics and enjoys hunting and golf. Travis earned his bachelor’s degree in construction and business from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.  

VICE PRESIDENT

BOYD NETLEY

Boyd started at Frana Companies in 2010 and works in both pre-construction and construction. He works directly with owners and oversees project managers in estimating, scheduling, design/development, and project management. In addition to this, he oversees Frana’s construction and design standards. Boyd’s resume of projects includes affordable, historic, and market rate housing, along with commercial buildings. Out of the office Boyd keeps busy with his children and enjoys the outdoors. Boyd earned his Bachelor of Science degree in construction engineering from Iowa State University.

PETER DONNINO

With nearly 50 years of experience in the construction industry, Pete is Chairman of Frana Companies. Pete’s drive and commitment in building Frana as the leading builder of privately financed and government funded multi-housing has been significant. Pete was instrumental in recruiting and developing highly skilled teams and a culture of quality and safety that is the foundation of Frana Companies’ operational philosophy today. He remains engaged in Frana’s operations and applies his tenure to collaborative initiatives and mentorship. Outside of the office, Pete is a trustee for the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters and is actively involved with Our Lady of Grace Church in Edina.

PRESIDENT & CEO

MIKE BENEDICT

A veteran in the construction industry since 1994, Mike is President & CEO and owner of Frana Companies. His leadership and direction ensure Frana’s vision, mission, and objectives are met. Additionally, he is responsible for all Frana’s operational and fiscal functions and performances. Mike works closely with many reputable owners, developers, and architects to ensure a smooth transition and seamless process from the schematic design up to the construction phase. Away from work, Mike is an avid sportsman, conservationist, and an active member of Chad Greenway’s Lead the Way Foundation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction and business from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. 

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

B.J. MARIOTTI

As Executive Vice President, B.J. has been pivotal to Frana Companies’ success. With over two decades of experience at Frana Companies, B.J. leads multiple multi-family projects. His dedication to his team and commitment to owners allows him the innate ability to keep projects moving through completion. 

When B.J. is not in the office, he is an active sportsman and committed to coaching his hometown wrestling program. B.J. is a Minnesota State University, Mankato graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management.

MEET OUR SUPERINTENDENTS AND FOREMEN

OUR TEAM IN THE FIELD

Our superintendents and foremen are experienced framing and finish carpenters. They earn their positions, advancing from journeyman carpenters through our comprehensive training program. This systematic training enables each employee to have direct supervision while learning Frana Companies’ standards for craftsmanship and safety. Because of this, nearly all our superintendents have at least a minimum of 10 years of experience with Frana. As superintendents and foremen, they dedicate themselves to complete each project on schedule and ensure all components of your project are professionally installed. Frana’s field personnels’ vast experience and knowledge in housing and finish carpentry consistently show up in the finished product; Frana’s clients and architects continually compliment our field crews for their quality of workmanship, as well as their ability to manage the construction of our multi-family housing projects.

Frana has only lost superintendents to retirement. We continually strive to promote new superintendents from within our carpentry program.
